BitLumens brings power and water to women farmers in developing countries leveraging on Internet of Things (IoT) and the Blockchain.
BitLumens is a non-conventional-renewable-energy solution using wind and solar to address power reliability and water access. BitLumens will provide access to a pay as you go system for women who do not have savings or a bank account. It will provide ownership of the technology once all installments have been paid, with the option to get a new system after the final payment has been made. We use the Blockchain to transparently allocate the proceeds in green projects, having monitoring, verification and reporting (MVR) on chain. The blockchain is also an ideal solution for data standardization. It makes the customer the owner of their data while providing credit scores. The latter promotes financial inclusion to women who are not part of the financial system.
The blockchain provides transparency to our investors by visualizing power generation, carbon mitigation and PM2.5 mitigation of each of the machines that we have in the field. Our platform contributes to the UN SDGs, in particular to Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality and Climate Action.
