Scheduled on February 7, 2024, the first edition of the Decentralised Renewable Energy Forum will focus on the Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE), highlighting the potential of Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE), particularly DRE-powered cooking appliances in the North-East of India. Alongside the Forum, there will be an Expo, providing an opportunity for DRE advocates in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors to showcase their work to their peers and academic community.
GOGLA supports policymakers across Asia to develop the enabling environment needed for the industry to thrive and aims to help development partners create the interventions needed to rapidly accelerate access to clean energy and green jobs. Praviin B Kumaar, South Asia Regional Representative and Karsan Reddy, Program Officer for the South Asia Region, will represent GOGLA at the Forum, to shed light on the transformative potential of productive uses of renewable energy.
