Global Environment Facility

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) unites 183 countries in partnership with international institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs), and the private sector to address global environmental issues while supporting national sustainable development initiatives. Size of grant: grants average about 4.6 MUSD. In theory there is no maximum. However the countries get each an allocated envelope. Which they would normally not spend all on one project.

Technical or other assistance
