GOGLA Releases Guidance Document on Intellectual Property

Counterfeit products and the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are a growing concern to the off-grid lighting and energy industry. To help our members understand and address this issue, GOGLA partnered with Morrison & Foerster, a law firm representing some of the largest Fortune 100 technology companies, to develop guidelines on IPR protection and enforcement in 10 countries or regions.

This document is a point of reference for staff working on IPR helping GOGLA members to navigate the global IP system and develop strategies on IP protection. It comprises country specific guidance for companies active in China, USA, EU, UK, India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria and Ghana.

GOGLA aims to promote awareness and expertise on Intellectual Property protection and enforcement in the off-grid lighting and energy industry to ensure fair competition, ongoing innovation and to keep counterfeit products out of markets.

The IP guidance document is exclusively accessible for GOGLA members in our resources section. In case you are a member and do not have access to the member-only section yet, you can request a login by visiting this page

You can also get in touch with John Keane to obtain the document and additional information.
