This is a five-year strategic plan (2023-2028) for the Somali Green Energy Association (SOGEA). The strategic plan has been developed to provide direction to the association and increase its contribution to the development of the green energy sub-sector in Somalia. The plan identifies opportunities to be taken advantage of and threats to mitigate. It also documents key strengths to be consolidated and weakness to be addressed to enable SOGEA deliver on her mission and vision.
Over the next five years, SOGEA’s Vision is “To be the leading and most vibrant institution for sustainably developing and promoting wide spread use of green energy sources across Somalia that match national, regional and international standards”, and her Mission is “To boost national collective action, harmonization, and subsidiarity for the sustainable and competitive development of Somalia’s green energy sector through awareness communication, capacity building, advocacy, policy, research, and networking”. The work and conduct of SOGEA shall be based on five core values which are: a) Integrity, b) Teamwork, c) sustainability, d) mutual respect and e) commitment.
