Following a period of broad growth, both in terms of activities and headcount, in 2019 we started to consolidate, professionalize, and strategize our association to better support the future of our industry. Guidance from the new board that was elected during the AGM in June helped shape a new strategic direction, reflective of how the industry is evolving and where it is headed in the next few years. That new direction appears at the end of this report.
As we entered a new decade earlier this year, and revisited the site of GOGLA’s origin story during the 2020 Global Off-Grid Conference and Expo in Nairobi, we’ve had the chance to reflect on how much GOGLA has matured in the last decade.
