Circularity

Circularity

Off-grid solar is delivering huge social and environmental impacts - improving quality of life, mitigating against greenhouse gas emissions and indoor pollution from traditional energy sources, and supporting economic development in low-income countries. The sector now serves over 420 million people and in a mission to further enhance their impact on consumers and communities, many companies are now actively seeking ways to further reduce their product and operational footprints.

Circularity aims to reduce resource usage and minimise e-waste through a closed-loop system. This reflects the sectors efforts to extend product lifespan, enhance repairability and refurbishment, and promote take-back, collection and recycling. In this hub you will find resources aimed at addressing the main challenges in setting up sustainable product systems, from design through to e-waste management.
