Modify Electromechanical Systems & Solutions Plc is a professional engineering firm founded by a group of young, competent engineers and other professionals aiming to deliver professionally valued quality material supply with consistent project execution.
The off-grid community in Ethiopia has a sizable underserved population, yet the solar sector is still in its infancy, plagued by issues such as product quality, higher prices, and a lack of after-sales care. In light of the current market condition, Modify strategized its business strategies to supply quality solar products at reasonable costs to the off-grid community on their premises, track product usage, and answer quickly to their after-sales support requests.
We have created a work culture focused on completing projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved in the project. We have distributed over 3,000 units of SHS in the Amhara National Regional State in four months in 2021, with approximately 70% of our customers being women.
Over the course of six months, each customer saved an average of $30 while positively impacting the lives of over 13,000 people in the area. This period distribution has created job opportunities for an additional ten permanent employees and four SME’s, each SME’s has eight members. Furthermore, it has a reduction of 96.3 tons of CO2 emissions over the course of the period.
The management team at Modify believes that GOGLA will make us more accessible in the global energy sector by providing a platform for promoting our features to the global off-grid solar community. Modify will be promoted in front of industry financiers, investors, and business catalysts, bringing business and overall growth opportunities to Modify as well as the rural community access to clean energy.
