Villageboom Germany was founded in 2010 with the mission to make solar light so affordable so that every off-grid household can afford it. Villageboom develops and manufactures its own solar lamp, the Villageboom High Power solar light, and has just launched the 6th product upgrade. Since 2010 we have been working with our partners in rural areas of developing countries (Benin, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, India, and Bangladesh) to pilot last-mile distribution strategies in hard-to-reach locations and have learned a lot how to market successfully bright solar lamps to low-income households. Our vision is that every off-grid household will take advantage of the significant benefits of bright solar light.
